Hey there lovelies,
It’s time to reintroduce myself. Over the past couple of years, God has been stirring something deeper in my heart, a calling back to the soil, the Sabbath, and the slow. What started as a simple blog has grown into something far more rooted: a mission to help families reconnect to what matters most. Faith, family, food, and the land under our feet.
So welcome (or welcome back!) to Eat Wild Appalachia.

This is our way of life.
What you will find here:
-
Gathering wild foods and wisdom
-
Growing gardens that feed our tables and our souls
-
Centering Christ in our rhythms, our rest, and our work
-
Raising kids with grit, gratitude, and grace
-
Preserving traditions, stories, and harvests
-
And building community, one meal, one prayer, one season at a time

01
Eat Wild Appalachia
The heart of our homegrown mission.
Explore how foraging, gardening, and preserving food can nourish your body, strengthen your faith, and stretch your family’s resources. Through seasonal eating guides, pound-for-pound savings tracking, and Appalachian storytelling, we invite you to return to your roots, one meal at a time.
02
Lady Appalachia
Grace-filled living for the modern mountain woman.
A space for mothers, wives, and young women to reclaim the beauty of homemaking, mentorship, and intentional rest. With devotionals, seasonal workshops, and supportive community, we’re building homes and hearts rooted in tradition and guided by Christ.

03
Wonder Kids
Raising curious hearts through wonder, play, and the wild.
Wonder Kids is an invitation to slow down and rediscover the joy of learning through imagination, nature, and hands-on connection. Rooted in the land but not limited to the forest, our resources inspire children to wonder, explore, and grow through seasonal crafts, nature-based activities, storytelling, and play. From community meetups to printable guides and home-based projects, Wonder Kids helps families nurture deep connection, both to each other and to God’s creation
04
Community
Rooted in land. Gathered in love.
Eat Wild Appalachia is more than a lifestyle, it’s a movement. Our community space brings families, makers, and neighbors together through local gatherings, seasonal workshops, shared meals, and mutual support. We also create pathways to connect families directly with local farmers, foragers, and artisans, strengthening the Appalachian food chain and building relationships that nourish from the soil up.

Our Mission
To inspire and equip Appalachian families to return to their roots through foraging, harvesting, and growing food, restoring body, mind, and spirit around the dinner table. Christ-centered, family-first, and rooted in tradition, we are healing Appalachia from the inside out.
Our Vision
A thriving Appalachian community where homes are nourished by the land, families are strengthened by faith and grit, and the next generation is raised with resilience, reverence, and rest.
